ROUTE FLORIDA 2

On this page we will give an example route. You can mix it with an other route or figure something out on your own. This route is not a circle. That means that you won’t start in the same place as where you end your route. At some RV rental companies this is cheaper and at some companies it’s more expansive. You could also drive to the place where you started to return your RV.

-Day 1
Today your RV trip starts in Fort Myers! Maybe you will drive to Fort Myers and maybe you will fly to Fort Myers. It doesn’t matter, you will spend the first three days in Fort Myers.

-Day 2 and 3
These two days are for relaxing on the beach, do some active water sports or visit some museums. You could also visit Sanibel Island for a relaxed day.

-Day 4
Today you will drive to Orlando! The drive is about 220 mile so take your time and make enough stops on your way. There are some fun things that you can visit on your way to Orlando. An example is the nice town Sarasota. You will find a lot of culture in this town and some museums. One of the museums is the Ringeling Museum of Art. One of the other nice stops is Bok Tower Gardens on the south of Orlando. This park has a tower on the highest point in Florida and the architecture is beautiful. After a trip with a lot of stops you will arrive in Orlando. Probably at the end of the day.

-Day 5, 6, 7 and 8miam
You will spend four whole days in Orlando. Pay a visit to one of the dozens theme parks or visit a nice museums. We recommend you to make a selection of theme parks and other things that you want to visit during these days because there is to much to visit in a few days. For some more inspiration you can look at some theme parks that we described for you by clicking here. But there is more then only theme parks in Orlando. Spend an evening in the neighborhood Celebration. This is a colorful neighborhood build in the New English style with a nice center at the lake. You can go shopping, eat something and much more. If you’re looking for a more peaceful and green environment you should go to Winter Park. You can make a boat trip over the lakes that are in this part of Orlando.

-Day 9
Today you are heading to Miami. The smartest thing to do is to drive through Titus ville. There is enough time to pay a visit to the Kennedy Space Center. After a visit to the Kennedy Space Center you will drive 3-4 hours to Miami and you will stay here two nights.

thekeys-Day 10
Feel the Cuban vibe on South Beach. Enjoy the nice beaches and make a day trip to Key Biscayne. You could also visit Villa Vizcava. This is a renaissance building and the architecture and art are just wonderful. Go to Lincoln Road to see and to be seen.

-Day 11
Today the drive is a little bit shorter than normal. You will drive 130 miles to the Keys. This is a island group. The islands are connected to each other by bridges. You will spend three nights in Key Largo. You can click here for all the campgrounds that you can visit with your RV.  Key West is the last island of the island group. You will find a KOA campground here. For more information about this campground you can visit the website of KOA.

-Day 12 and 13
You have two days to enjoy and relax at your resort (or in your RV) or you could go on adventure! One of the great things to do is drive to Key West. This is a two hour drive and you will have a spectacular view when you are on the road. You could also visit the theater of Seas where you can swim with dolphins or you could enjoy a dolphin show.

-Day 14
Today you will drive to Miami and you will return your RV. When you’ve done that you could go home or spend the day in Miami and go home a little bit later.

TIP
You can safe a lot of money if you buy your tickets for theme parks before you visit the parks. You can go to the websites of these parks to order or reserve your tickets.
