ROCKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK
The park had a lot of cultural treasures like ancient trails. In 1915 the National Park Services built roads, post offices, irrigation symstems and a lot of other things. After World War II the national park suffered from outdated facilities and that’s why the National Park Services implemented Mission 66 to make the park more modern. This mission was a succes and now a days this is a beautiful national park and it’s worth a visit!
Things to do in Rocky Mountains National Park
There are two different Scenic Drives in this national park. You can explore the national park with your own car. Riding in your RV on these routes is possible but we don’t recommend it because there is also a free shuttle. You can take this shuttle and enjoy the nature and the breathtaking views.
You could also go fishing, but if you want to go fishing you should visit the visitor center in the park for more information because there are some regulations for fishing.
There are a lot of different options for hiking. There are a lot of different trails and you could also participate in a ranger led walk. These walks are free and make you feel more comfortable if you have never hiked in a national park before.

-Every day the movie ‘Spirit of the Mountains ‘ is shown in the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center. The movie takes about 25 minutes and you will learn a lot about the mountains.
-During the summer there are different astronomy programs. The first program is called: astronomy in the park. This program takes about 30 minutes and you will learn about the stars and you will look through a telescope to the sky. The second program is called: Stories behind the moon and stars. This program takes about 90 minutes and you will learn everything about the milky way, the moon and the stars. There are also different activities on this tour. In the winter there are also special activities like skiing and snowmobiling, so there is enough to do in this national park.
Campgrounds in Rocky Mountains National Park
There are some different campgrounds that allow RVs so you can find a list of different campgrounds underneath here:
-Aspenglen Campground allows RVs with a length limit of 30 ft.
-Glacier Basin Campground allows RVs with a length limit of 35 ft.
-Moraine Park Campground allows RVs with a length limit of 40 ft.
-Timber Creek Campground allows RVs with a length limit of 30 ft.
