Yet state park camping won’t break your travel budget – entry fees are nominal, and an annual family pass is available for extra savings.

When you rent an RV in Florida, try one of these great destinations:

The Panhandle
Some of the world’s best beaches are located in the Panhandle area. Arguably, the South Walton-Destin area has the most family-friendly beaches. Henderson Beach is all about walking the pristine shoreline and sand dunes, while Rocky Bayou State Park is an ideal fishing, canoeing and kayaking destination. RV camping is available at stunning St. Andrews, Three Rivers and Topsail Hill.

The Everglades
Measuring 1.5 million acres, the Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. The guided Shark Valley Tram Tour offers a leisurely way to learn about the park’s “River of Grass” and ecology. Boat tours, fishing and hiking are also very popular. The National Park Service offers two drive-up campgrounds in the “frontcountry.” The Long Pine Key Campground is first-come, first-serve, while reservations are strongly recommended for the Flamingo Campground.
